Woman allegedly assaults former boyfriend in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH — Here are some highlights from the Portsmouth Police reports from over the past week.

Friday, Dec. 25

At 11:44 a.m., police investigated a report that an all-terrain vehicle or other vehicle had left tire tracks in the grass at Glen Park.

Karen A. Arnold, 54, of 23 Greenfield Ave., was charged with disorderly conduct following an incident at her home that was first reported at 3:20 p.m.

Jessica M. Bowley, 33, of 5500 North Main St., Building 20, Apt. 106, Fall River, was charged with domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct at 10:41 p.m. Police said Ms. Bowley struck a former boyfriend whom she encountered at the Mobil Xtra Mart, where the car in which she was a passenger had stopped. The car was later pulled over by police at the corner of Hedly Street and West Main Road. Police said Ms. Bowley resisted their efforts to place her in the cruiser, and that she kicked against the door. She continued to be combative at police headquarters, according to police.

Saturday, Dec. 26

Christopher J. Meagher, 23, of 553 Warren Ave., East Providence, was arrested at 11:10 a.m. on a bench warrant issued by Second District Court. Police stopped the car Mr. Meagher was driving on West Main Road at Stringham Road because it had a loud muffler.
